• Is Code Red Escape Room a franchise?
Code Red Escape Room is not a franchise. We are a small, local owned business. Our puzzles are designed and built in-house by our passionate and dedicated staff and owners.

• What is an escape room?
An escape room is an interactive adventure game in which players are placed in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles to escape or complete a challenge within the set time limit. The games are physical versions of "escape the room" video games.

• How awesome is it?
Very! Check out our reviews.

• Are we really locked inside the room?
No, the current format of our games do not involved being "locked" inside of the room.

• How much does it cost?
The cost is $25 per person in each room. Reservations are necessary and walk-ins are not accepted. Reservations can be booked exclusively through this website.

• When Are We Open?
Please see our contact page for hours

• How many people can play at the same time?
It varies; some rooms comfortably hold eight, some comfortably hold twelve.

• Are cell phones allowed in the room?
You won't need it. You're already attached at the hip to that thing. Take a break for an hour.

• How early should we arrive for our reservation?
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your start time but no more than 20! This is extremely important. You must arrive on time to participate. When you arrive you will receive a quick briefing on the game. Then the challenge begins! You will have 60 minutes to solve the mystery.

• What happens if I am late?
These are live-action events. You must arrive on time in order to participate. We cannot wait for latecomers as there are other appointments scheduled. Leave ample time to allow for traffic and parking. If you arrive after your scheduled appointment you will have a reduced time to play the game.

• Can children play the game?
Many children love to solve puzzles and clues. The rooms have puzzles that may be difficult for children. We do not restrict the age of children, but we do recommend that they are age 8 and above. When you complete the online booking you are also signing a waiver for your group and children under the age of 17.

• Where are you located? Where should I park?
We are located at the Chambersburg Mall. Park by the movie theater entrance.

• Is this scary?
No, our rooms are not unless it says "warning" scary!

• How long does this take?
Participants have 60 minutes to escape the room. Players should arrive 15 minutes in advance of their scheduled play time.

• How do I book a room?
Tickets are purchased online. Online bookings are made securely through Square and require Credit or Debit Card information at the time of purchase. Each game has a maximum number of tickets that can be purchased for each session.

• Are tickets refundable?
No. Tickets are non-refundable upon purchase.

• May I purchase a ticket for someone else?
Yes, please indicate the appropriate player’s name in booking information before check out.

• How far out can I purchase a ticket?
Sessions are available for bookings 1 month in advance. If you are interested in a date farther than 1 month out, please call us for assistance.

• Can I purchase all of the tickets for my group at once?
Yes. Select the maximum amount of tickets available for the room (8-10). The session will then be under one person’s name. If you book all the open seats and you need more spots, call us for assistance.

• Can we play the same room more than once?
Yes, however, for all guests, we ask that the puzzles remain a mystery to all new teams so please do not spoil the fun and share the answers with anyone. If you succeed, try your skills in another room!

• Is there a minimum number of players required?
Yes, there is a minimum of 4 people required. Playing with under 4 people makes it less likely you'll have a chance at escaping. If you do not have the max number of players allowed in a room you may also end up being joined by another small party to play together.

• I am purchasing fewer tickets than maximum available for that room. Does that mean the remaining slots are filled by other guests?
Maybe. You may be placed into a group with other guests if your team does not fill the maximum.
